This policy explains how Cayn LLC ("Cayn," "we," "us," or "our") handles consumer health data, as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What we collect
Cayn does not ask for medical records. Some information you give us may still reveal something about your health:
- purchases on receipts and in emails you connect, such as pharmacy items, medications, and medical supplies;
- bank transactions with pharmacies, clinics, or other health providers;
- anything you choose to tell the Cayn assistant.
Where it comes from
From you (receipt photos, entries, and messages), and from email and bank accounts you choose to connect.
Why we use it
Only to provide the features you use:
- reading and organizing your receipts and transactions;
- showing your spending, returns and refunds, and savings on items you buy;
- answering your questions;
- keeping your account secure and meeting legal obligations.
We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to make health-related inferences or recommendations for any other purpose.
Who we share it with
We share it only with:
- service providers that process it for us under contract: cloud hosting and storage, AI services that read receipts and answer questions, and email delivery;
- household members you invite, who see the records you share with them;
- others where the law requires it.
Our service providers may not use it for their own purposes or to train AI models, and Cayn does not use it to train AI models.
Your rights
You can:
- confirm whether we hold your consumer health data and get a copy of it;
- see the list of service providers who receive it;
- withdraw consent;
- delete it: delete individual records in the app, or delete your account in Settings, which also deletes your records.
To make a request, use Support in the app or email contact@cayn.ai. We respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject. We will answer within 45 days and explain our decision.
Changes
We will update this page, and its effective date, before changing how we use consumer health data.
